What We Offer

Therapeutic Services

Individual Office Based Therapy

SMHC conveniently has offices in all four counties on the Treasure Coast. Regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Evening and weekend hours are available by appointment.

School Based Therapy

Therapists will work with children, adolescents and teens in their school setting, allowing them to observe and address issues directly in the environment where issues may be occurring.

Home Based Therapy

Therapists have the opportunity to assist with behaviors occurring in the home, teach coping skills for the families whose children are dealing with a broad range of emotional issues, and working to strengthen family relationships. Home based therapy is also extended to adolescents and adults.

Community Based Therapy

Therapist can meet the individual in the community where it is safe, private and convenient in order to provide therapeutic services.

Therapists can provide telehealth services while the individual is in the comfort of their own home. Telehealth is especially convenient as it can fit into most individual’s busy schedule.

 Psychiatric Evaluations

The psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner provides an initial and thorough psychiatric evaluation to determine if there is a need for medication.

 Medication Management

Monitoring of medication is done by the psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner. This is a continuous assessment of the effectiveness of prescribed medication for the individual’s best interest.

*Any and all components of therapy are offered in any combination as needed*

Our Happy Clients

Since going to therapy at Suncoast, I have learned positive coping skills that help me manage my anxiety. My therapist tailors our sessions to what is going on in my life currently and helps me understand the underlying cause of my problems.

My son has been struggling in school for some time now. I decided to reach out to Suncoast to get him involved in therapy. He is now thriving and learning how to cope with his anxiety. Although my son was the patient, his therapist was so supportive of me and my family. The fact that the therapists are available in the schools as well made it so easy and convenient for my son to receive therapy.

I was apprehensive about case management because I don't like asking for help, but I never would've been able to find such amazing resources without the help of my case manager. I was able to get financial aid, clothes and school supplies for my kids. My case manager is friendly and supportive. I am so thankful for her.

What I love about Suncoast is it's family-centered approach to health. Yes, it is a mental health center, but they really widen their view of health to help you achieve overall wellness in every aspect of your life. Mindfulness exercises are my favorite part of therapy. It's almost like yoga for your mind.
